Monte-Carlo Masters

The Monte-Carlo Masters is a ATP Masters 1000 tennis tournament held in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin on clay courts, played in April. It is a men's event, so only one tour is in town. The main singles draw holds 64 players.

Monte-Carlo is the one Masters 1000 tournament that ATP players are not required to enter, which makes its entry list the most revealing of the season. Who turns up says something about how seriously a player is treating the clay stretch, and who stays away says as much.
